About me

Hi! I'm Sophia Stone, a senior at the University of Wisconsin–Madison studying Consumer Behavior & Marketplace Studies with a certificate in Digital Studies, driven by a passion for sales, relationship-building, and human-centered problem solving.

I am energized by connecting people with products and solutions that truly serve them, and I am especially interested in how digital media and technology shape consumer decision-making. I approach sales as the intersection of empathy, strategy, and impact, prioritizing client-first relationships, and long-term value.

As an aspiring Sales Development Representative, I specialize in sales funnel management across B2B and B2C ventures and am motivated by meeting metrics through outbound cold calling and inbound prospecting.

Before graduating from UW–Madison, I co-founded and launched Hopelessly Yellow on campus—a digital-first brand focused on mental wellness, creativity, and community. What started as an idea quickly grew into a scalable, multi-campus initiative. As part of the founding team, I helped build the brand’s digital presence, shape its voice, and drive early community engagement—connecting students through content across writing, design, and media.

This experience strengthened my ability to turn insight into execution—building a purpose-driven brand that resonates, scales, and creates real connection.

Education & Experience

During my sophomore year, I joined InnerPeak AI, a mental health startup, to help launch a personalized app combining psychotherapy tools with AI.

I worked across product, marketing, and sales—contributing to UX/UI development while leading targeted outreach and growth strategy through HubSpot. I helped increase our Instagram following by 200+ new users, drove client acquisition through cold outreach, and played a direct role in securing over $100K in Series A funding by booking and educating prospective partners.

This experience strengthened my ability to blend empathy with execution—using data-driven sales and storytelling to grow a mission-driven product.

How a single class at a fitness studio my freshman year turned into 600 sessions by my senior year.

It's no surprise that [solidcore] has been taking over the fitness community since it's birth in 2013. Opening in Washington, D.C., Anne Mahlum opened the first of what would become 150 corporate-owned and operated boutique fitness studios across the United States. Specializing in low-impact, high-intensity workouts, [solidcore] has redefined strength training and pilates.

My freshman year at UW-Madison, I was intimidated to find my own fitness space. While physical activity and health have been a large part of my life, I was in a new space and chapter that required me to find my structure again. There was a giant student recreation center located 20 minutes from my dorm where waiting for a treadmill could take half an hour or longer. Thankfully, I had my car on campus, which gave me a unique opportunity to pursue my fitness goals in the greater Madison area.

On my first day of classes freshman year in 2022, I decided to add one more new class to my schedule: the Signature 50 minute class at the [solidcore] studio downtown. I had heard of [solidcore] before and had always wanted to try it, but I didn't realize that there was one proximal to me.

What turned into 50 minutes a week at the Madison studio, soon became 300 minutes a week. I was addicted to becoming the strongest version of myself. This studio has not only shaped my undergraduate experience, it has become a home for me. It’s been a place where I have found community, friends, and discovered a version of myself that has become stronger through failure.

If you are looking for a similar space, I encourage you to sign up for your first class (if you go with me, it's free!). You will be sore for the next three business days and will be back for more.

While I will miss my Madison [solidcore] community, I am eager to explore studios in my next location. One plank at a time under the blue lights.
